Prince Edward Island (PEI) is the smallest province in Canada, however it can boast of one of the highest levels of tourism in all of Canada. PEI Tourism has done a remarkable job of promoting the province both inside Canada and outside. "PEI is Canada's smallest and greenest province. Cradled on the waves of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the Island is known for the vivid colours of its gently rolling landscape. PEI is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and red sandstone cliffs and is sized just right for touring." (PEI Tourism)

PEI is the golfing mecca of Canada. It boasts 10 of the top 100 courses in Canada. Prince Edward Island golf courses offers everything from the beginner to the professional golfer. It has both links courses and your traditional golf courses typically found all around the world. PEI also played host to the Golf Channels Big Break TV Series in 2008. Mill River Golf Course was featured during the show.

PEI is also renowned for its beaches. Cavendish Beach is the most popular beach on Prince Edward Island. "On the face of it, a few million grains of sand and a constantly shifting ocean might not offer a whole lot of entertainment potential. But look again. Prince Edward Island beaches quite possibly provide the best vacation value in multiple categories."
