The Maritimes offers everything from Championship level courses to beginner level courses. You can also find traditional links courses, by the Atlantic Ocean, as well as your normal courses that are typically found today.

The advantage goes to my American friends to the South. With the current exchange rate, between Canada and the United States, you can spend a week in the Maritimes far cheaper then you could spend a week in the United States.

It's 18.5 hours to drive to Prince Edward Island from Washington. That's approximately two days worth of driving (one way). That should give you three days of golf and then another two days to drive back to Washington.

For those of you who live closer to Canada than Washington, then the less driving you will have to do which leaves more time for golf!

If you wish to fly, then it will take approximately 4 hours of flying (from Washington) with a connection in Boston.

During the summer months Delta Airlines has a direct flight to Charlottetown, PEI from Boston. It has been a great success for Delta for the last few years.

Delta Airlines also flies direct to Halifax, Nova Scotia from Washington, New York or Boston.

Continental Airlines flies direct to Halifax from New Jersey.

United Airlines, American Airlines and Air Canada flies direct to Halifax from New York.

If you are one of the fortunate ones who owns your own airplane, then there are many airports you can fly into, jump into a rental car, and be teeing off in no time at all. There are many ways of traveling to the Maritimes, now go and do it!
